Taking place on the June 2nd, 2015, 2015 PERFECTRON DesignPRO Forum was held in Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel TAIPEI presenting various advanced technologies focus on railway market. Up to seventies worldwide participants from more than ten countries gathered jointly to listen to Intel’s IoT strategy on smart transportation, PERFECTRON’s complete railway solution, certified power solutions from Vicor and precious experiences with projects sharing from Sadel and Advantix.
In the beginning, Mr. Martin Ting, General Manager of PERFECTRON, gave a warm welcome to everyone and introduced all professional speakers from chipset and power design & manufacturers to system integrators that dedicated in rugged computers and infotainment system of railway computing.
Onsite participants were all impressed about PERFECTRON’s new launched 8U ground control center system that can connect two powerful Haswell quad-core i7 plus Nvidia graphic rugged computers (SR200) with 4 channels’ HD frame grabber device and power that meets MIL-STD 1275/704 or MIL-STD 461 upon request. Myong Kie Lee, Business Development Manager from Intel introduced IoT (Internet of Things) in transportation and Intel’s solutions from things, gateway, network, cloud to services & solutions that enabling rapid deployment of end-to-end solutions. Especially, Intel has strong role in transportation supplying software defined cockpit, advanced driving technologies and connected transportation & logistics.
Yancy Lo, Product Manager of PERFECTRON delivered “Master the Railway with PERFECTRON” session which showing ruggedization guideline and application ready platform. PERFECTRON’s solution covers from PIS rugged motherboards, train event recorders, 1U 19” on board servers and multi-display systems.
Giuseppe Chili, President of SADEL, the Bombardier and Alstom approved vendor in Italy introduced the EN50155 certified OBserver with power, enhanced and lean configuration so can meet all requests.
Felix Yan, Applications Engineering Manager of Vicor, had a dedicated speech on rolling stock power requirements, operating temp. from -55 to +100°C solutions and success stories in Korean KTX, Japan Shinkansen and more.
Armen Petoyan, director of Advantix, addressed excellent video surveillance projects in Moscow Metro and workstation in Russia railway.
