Extended Temp Grade Components Selected

Extended Temp Grade Components Selected

When it comes to extended temperature products, the components are the most crucial part same as healthy cell to human body. PERFECTRON insists on designing products only with truly extended temperature components. Such as power solution (Capacitor/chock/MOSFET), Clock Generator (Oscillator/Crystal/Clock Gen), Super I/O, TPM, etc.. All the components have to pass a series of strict selection to make sure they are of true industrial grade.

First of all, PERFECTRON’s engineers identify components that have passed W.T.G.C. (Wide Temp. Grade Component) requirements, and then these selected components have to go through wideband temperature operation test from as low as -40°C to 85°C. Only after passing all these exams do we put them in PERFECTRON’s Components Data Bank for further usage. The establishment of a Components Data Bank allows our experienced design team to recognize and choose components more efficiently. Through this process, we guarantee that our components are of 100% wide temperature grade.

Benefits of Soldering

Benefits of Soldering

PERFECTRON is specialized in providing wide temperature and ruggedized solution for industrial application. Industrial application solutions demand to operate in extreme conditions such as high/low temperatures, thermal shock, high humidity and electromagnetic disturbances. To achieve high standard of shock and vibration demand, PERFECTRON provides motherboard with components soldering on board which including CPU, RAM IC and storage module to enhance conductivity for circuit dissipation.

Benefits of soldering are not only provide the best level of shock and vibration protection, there are more benefits of CPU, RMA and storage soldering on board in following:

High density interconnection between PCB and components High efficiency heat conduction to enhance thermal dissipation Maximum resistance for shock and vibration to allow product operates under every possible condition Lower resistance and inductance at the connection enhance effective transmission Better and more predictable high-frequency performance High EMC compatibility (lower radiated emissions) to assure product with high safety standard and the smaller lead inductance

Harsh Conditions Testing Certified

Harsh Conditions Testing Certified

PERFECTRON delivers quality solutions that meet industry standards. In order to coordinate with various extreme conditions, such as thermal shock, high humidity, low temperature start-ups, PERFECTRON runs through serial testing strictly. Based on years of experiences, our seasoned engineers conclude some critical factors that will influence the reliability and capability; then come out 4 main primary testing. Power on/off test, -40°C cold-start up, -40 ~ +85°C burn-in and 24/7 nonstop operation.

Power on/off cycle test 2000 times PERFECTRON complies with the IEC 60068 (Environmental Testing) standard, which ensures optimum product performance and reliability under the rigors of varying environmental conditions. Comparing to commercial grade, PERFECTRON runs power on/off test at room temperature for 1000 cycles, two times more than commercial grade. Moreover, we run 500 times individually at -40°C and +85°C which duplicates more extend environments than commercial grade does.

-40°C cold-start

PERFECTRON considers cold boot up as the same important ability as wide temp operation. Therefore, cold boot up test is essential. PERFECTRON puts the system in the chamber from room temperature, and wait until the chamber temperature is down to -40°C, then start to boot up. In this way, we can duplicate the system temperature is also down to extended low temperature which is much more close to reality.

Apart from power on/off and cold start up testing, PERFECTRON runs temperature cycle test for 51 hours at -40°C ~ +85°C by power on operating test at -40°C for 24 hours, non stop switch chamber temp. up to +85°C directly for another 24 hours. Thus duplicate the real thermal shock condition happens in day and night changing. More burn-in tests are at high temp. and low temp. respectively for 24 hours. This stringent testing ensures reliable performance in mission-critical applications under extreme and rapidly changing temperatures.
